Definition:
In this project, students critically examined how advertising influences consumer choices, especially in promoting unhealthy and environmentally harmful food products. Using AI tools and visual communication strategies, students created "Brandalism"-style ads that challenge the tactics used by companies to market non-sustainable or misleading food items. The goal was to raise awareness and spark discussion around ethical advertising and consumer responsibility, encouraging students to become open-minded thinkers who question mainstream messages and promote healthier, more sustainable choices.
Students will analysed advertising and packaging examples of products they consume to re-design it telling the truth behind the communication campaign.
Age group: Middle school
Duration: 20Â lessons, 45 minutes each
