'COLLAGE - IDENTITY' GRADE 11

OVERVIEW OF LESSON

Students discussed how identity is represented through the body in relation to the impact of brands. They analyzed the works of artists working with contemporary collage and the meaning of words such as metaphor, stereotype, analogy, and originality.

TEACHING MATERIALS

Students will learn the technique of collage while analyzing conceptual aspects of the use of images to create a message. 

Age group: High school

Duration: 20  lessons, 45 minutes each

You will need: Color paper and magazines

Tools: Scissors and glue.
