'SUPERHEROES AND TECHNOLOGY' GRADE 5

OVERVIEW OF LESSON

Fifth-grade students will inquire into the use of technology and the world issues to discuss how to use it. They will create a superhero and make a comic narrating a short story of how they became another. Their character will solve a world problem using superpowers.

TEACHING MATERIALS

Learning outcomes: Students will find facts about the use of technology, the world issues and superheroes. They will discuss about the idea of superheroes and masks while analysing examples of different world masks. Students will draw a short comic and make the mask of their chosen superhero. They will present their characters to the school community by visiting other classrooms.

Age group: Upper primary school

Duration: 8 lessons, 45 minutes each

You will need: paper, cardboard.

Tools: Scissors, masking tape, pencils, markers, paint, brushes, masking tape.

Technique: Cardboard masks and comics
