Inspired by the machine designs of Leonardo da Vinci among other artists, students will inquire into the connections between art and science in order to develop a machine design that can also make art (Drawbot).

Learning outcomes: Students will get familiarised with S.T.E.A.M. and learn basic skills of the technique of prototyping a simple machine sculpture.Â
Age group: Middle school
Duration: 24 lessons, 45 minutes each
You will need: plastic containers, a small engine, batteries
Tools: Cutter, glue gun, paint, paper, markers
