Statement of Inquiry: Our social, cultural, and natural contexts communicate who we are in a particular style.
Students will inquire into their personal lives to understand how their self and social identity formation is influenced by their self-esteem, status, roles, and role models.
TEACHING MATERIALS
Learning outcomes: Students will learn the technique of photographic portraiture (digital and printed collage). They will analyze different photographers’ artworks to reflect on the meaning of communication and style.
Age group: Middle school
Duration: 14 lessons, 45 minutes each
You will need: Photographic paper A3 size
Tools: Scissors, glue, ruler, photographic camera and/or phones, printer
